Mysuru, December 11:- Drivers of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) sat on a stir without attending the duty on Monday as they have not been paid salaries for the last three months.
MCC has taken vehicles for rent on a tender basis. But the tender holders have not paid the salaries to the drivers for three months. Enraged by this, the drivers staged a protest, demanding settlement of pending salary.
They explained their problems to the Commissioner of MCC. They said that the tender holder doesn’t pay the rent and threatens he would cancel the tender. They questioned how they would live if the payment is not made for months.
The MCC Commissioner assured the drivers of solving the problem within a day by discussing with the officials and tender holders. (MR/KS)
