MCC conducts chess camp for over 40 students

Mysore Chess Centre (MCC) success­fully conducted first instalment of sum­mer chess coaching camp. More than 40 students learnt the basic skills of chess during this course. In order to grade their chess learning skill and to create awareness about the importance of chess in the education field, a chess tournament was organised recently.

Adarsh A won the tournament by sweeping all the seven rounds; Gnanendra G M, Sharan Kumar and Akshaj scored fwe points each to se­cure second, third and fourth places respectively. Kushi 13 G, Yogitha U Gowda and Manish Kumar scored 4.5 points to secure fifth, sixth and seventh places. Rajath Chandrashekhar, Amu­lya and Suhaani scored four points to secure eighth, ninth and tenth places respectively.

Suresh. Director of MCC and Na­gendra Muralidhar, vice president of United Karnataka Chess Association (UKCA), gave away the prizes.
