Mysuru, November 22:-Mysore City Corporation (MCC) is gearing up to implement the state government order which bans installation of telecom towers within 50m radius of hospitals and educational institutions.
With this new order, the existing telecom towers should be removed which were installed in residential areas near hospitals and educational institutions.
MCC was recently flooded with complaints from various resident welfare associations to remove from the existing telecom towers.
MCC commissioner KH Jagadish has said that the he will approach urban development department to enforce the government directive.
Meanwhile, the state government has set three months deadline to remove all the telecom towers which are situated within the 50m radius of schools and educational institutions. The state has also mandated the telecom companies to get a certificate from a recognised structural engineer prior to installation.
