The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) which has initiated a door-to-door drive to collect pending water tax from residents in city has warned that water connections will be disconnected to the houses and commercial establishments which fail to clear the dues.
MCC officials in 11 vehicles have embarked on a drive from Tuesday to collect water taxes from the residents and to regularise illegal water connections after collecting penalties.
Speaking on the occasion, MCC Commissioner J Jagadish who officially launched the drive at the MCC premises, said the residents and commercial establishments owe the MCC Rs 150 crore. “All illegal water connections will be regularised and those have not paid their dues, the connections will be disconnected.”
Mayor M J Ravi Kumar and several corporators were present.
