Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is conducting ZED certification scheme and financial support to MSMEs at the chamber premises in the city.
The Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, has decided to implement ZED Certification Scheme, with the help of Quality Council of India (QCl), as National Monitoring implementing Unit (NMIU) and other stakeholders.
The objectives of the scheme include inculcating Zero defect and Zero effect practices in the manufacturing process, ensure continuous improvement and make in India initiative. The scheme is an extensive drive of the Govt. of India, to enhance global competitiveness of MSMEs by providing them financial support in assessment rating and handholding of its manufacturing processes on quality and environment aspects.
The activities include nationwide awareness of the ZED model building capacities of accredited agencies or bodies by training and certifying assessors and consultants for site-assessment and handholding. The scheme also includes an e-platform for assessment and e-content for capability building.
