Mysuru, March 2:- “Protect the nation from those who divide it in the name of caste and religion and protect the ideologies of the Constitution of India,” said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
He was speaking after releasing the souvenir as part of the 34th State Conference of Journalists at Suttur on Friday.
“Lies are doing rounds and truth is hidden. People are getting confused about the truth. The media is also harming us. Journalists should be truthful and have to report unbiased. Unbiased analysis from the journalists helps the government to do the right works. I expect things to change in the coming days,” he added.
“Media field is growing rapidly. There are many newspapers and TV channels in Karnataka. They are competing with each other. We have moved on to the latest technology. Information reaches public within a fraction of a second,” he said.
The Chief Minister promised total support to the working journalists from the government. He said that the advertisement rate for the district-level newspapers will be increased by 20%.
