Medical, dental courses: KEA announces seat matrix

Prime News, Karnataka, Bengaluru, July 21:-  The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has published the seat matrix for the medical and dental colleges in the state for the academic year 2017-18.

The students who are eligible for counselling may now peruse the seat matrix and enter options for their preferred colleges on the website. The seat matrix for different categories such as general, Hyderabad-Karnataka, special category, private seats, NRI and others are available on the website (http://kea.kar.nic.in).

There are 4,866 medical seats and 1,824 dental seats in the state. Apart from this, there are 181 seats in medical and dental colleges for special category candidates. The list of students from Karnataka and outside who have completed the document verification has also been published.

Fee in government medical colleges is Rs 16,700 and the fee for seats in the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges in Bengaluru and Kalaburagi is Rs 1 lakh.

The fee for government-quota seats in private colleges is Rs 77,000 and the fee for institution-quota seats in private colleges is fixed at Rs 6,32,500.

Meanwhile, the fee for NRI and management-quota seats have been specified in the document provided on the website.
