Medical representative dies in mishap

A 24-year-old medical representative died in a road accident near LIC circle on Tuesday night.

Nagendra Kumar (24) a resident of Naidu Nagar fourth stage is the victim. His father Shivamallu is said to be a real estate business man. The incident came to light on Tuesday night when patrolling police saw Nagendra Kumar lying in a pool of blood near LIC Circle.

According to the police, Nagendra Kumar was returning to his residence at Naidu Nagar after having dinner. It is alleged that he was under the influence of alcohol. Nagendra, who on his bike, tried to negotiate the LIC circle near Bannimantap when he lost control. He rammed into LIC guest house building.  As the incident took place late night, there was nobody to rescue him. Police, who were on patrol, found the body with severe head injuries.

Earlier, police were in a state of confusion over the nature of death. As the head was bleeding, they suspected it might be a murder.  Later, the police sources said it was an accident.
The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem at K R Hospital.

Following the accident, DCP (Law and Order) H T Shekar and DCP N Rudramurthy (Crime and Traffic), along with N R traffic police Kiran and Sub Inspector Shashikala visited the spot.

A case has been registered at N R traffic police station under section 304 (A).
