Mysuru, March 17:- An incident where a medical student died of a drug overdose occurred in Lalithadripura village in Mysuru on Wednesday (March 16).
The deceased has been identified as Sahana, a final-year student at JSS Ayurvedic College here and a resident of KR Pete taluk.
It is alleged that Sahana consumed heavy doses of medicine and breathed her last on the way to a hospital for treatment.
Reportedly, two years ago, her brother also had allegedly committed suicide.
Mysuru Rural Police has registered a case and further investigations are on. (AM/KS)
