Mega vaccination drive receives good response in Mysuru city

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Vaccine, Mysuru, October 21:- The three-day mega Covid-19 vaccination drive, which began on Wednesday (October 20), is receiving a good response. The vaccination drive has begun at all the 65 Wards of Mysuru City Corporation in the city. People are voluntarily making their way to the vaccination centres to get the jabs.

Every ward has a nodal officer, supervisor, data entry operator, staff nurse and pourakarmikas. The people’s representatives and MCC councillors are bringing people to the vaccination centres. Wednesday (October 20) alone, some 7,000 people were vaccinated.

BJP MLA of Krishnaraja Constituency S A Ramadass said, “India reached 100 crore-mark in vaccination drive on Thursday (October 21). Many developed countries struggled to cope with the situation but India tackled the situation efficiently. Vaccination is being done in a systematic manner in the country.”

Talking to the media, he said, “KR constituency stands first in vaccination drive and it has also been mentioned by Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar. I would like to thank ASHA workers, health workers, ward workers and BJP booth presidents. Our constituency has crossed cent percent mark in vaccination drive.”

Ramadass also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for their timely help. (MR/KS)
