Mysuru, May 22:- After a long hiatus, the MEMU train services between Mysuru and Bengaluru have been resumed by the South Western Railway here on Friday.
The MEMU train which was to arrive at Mysuru Railway Station on Friday at 12:45 pm arrived a bit early. 63 passengers came in the train. The train left for Bengaluru at 1:45 pm. The train had 57 passengers. Passengers are allowed to enter the train only after thermal screening and health check-up.
Markings are made at the railway station to maintain social distancing. Bookings are less for the train at present. Many people are unaware of the train resuming its services. E-booking services are open for the railway tickets. Those who had booked tickets before lockdown will get refund after May 25.
The train commuting between Mysuru and Bengaluru stops at Kengeri, Ramanagara, Maddur, Mandya, Pandavapura, and Naganahalli Stations. (KS, NGB)
