Mysuru, June 28:- The Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), Bengaluru, is organising its 29th mid-year meeting on June 29, 30 at Infosys campus in the city.
The IASc, since its inception has been ceaselessly striving to uphold the spirit of science and education in the country. The academy through its diverse activities aims to facilitate scientific exchange among researchers and highlight novel findings both within the scientific community and the larger public. The mid-year meeting will witness the participation of the fellowship of the academy along with researchers, teachers, students and other invitees from across the nation.
The two-day scientific forum will include lectures by newly elected fellows and associates over a wide range of scientific topics. Encompassing wider areas, it has been a long standing tradition to hold public lectures by eminent scholars from various fields of scientific endeavour during the academy meetings.
The lecture is followed by a cultural programme Yakshagana-Abhimanyu Kalaga by Guruprasadita Yakshagana Mandali, Saligrama from 7 pm to 8 pm.-KK
