Prime News, State (Bengaluru), May 18:- The Special Investigation Team which is probing the alleged illegal mining scam which happened during the tenure of former chief ministers N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy, is likely to ask for more time to complete the investigation.
The Supreme Court has asked SIT to complete the investigation and give a detailed report within three months. According to sources close to the investigating agency, considering they have to go through a lot of files, records and financial transactions of some of the companies, SIT officials feel they need more time and will therefore approach the apex court, seeking extension.

JDS state president and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who was granted one-week anticipatory bail on Wednesday, will appear before the investigation team today.
