Mysuru, June 15:- Minister K C Narayana Gowda called on Chamarajanagar Member of Parliament V Srinivas Prasad at his residence here on Monday. Both leaders held discussion for sometime.
“We are hopeful of former minister A H Vishwanath getting MLC berth. He should become a minister. We are hopeful of everything becoming good for Vishwanath. Discussions are being held at different levels. He is being strengthened within the party. We will obey the decision of the party high command,” he said.
“Vishwanath joined the party having faith in our leaders. He has held discussion with the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. I too have discussed with the Chief Minister. Yediyurappa has made all the MLAs who won in the by-elections as ministers. Now those who lost the election are demanding ministerial berth. Can we say no to that? Senior leaders know the promise they made to the resigned legislators of Congress and JD(S) when they joined the party. There is no misunderstanding in the party. BJP has strong government at both state and centre. Yediyurappa will complete the term as the chief minister. Everyone will follow the decision of the party high command,” said MP Srinivas Prasad.
“Don’t raise the name of H D Deve Gowda with me. I won’t speak about him. I won’t even mention his name. I don’t want it to be an unnecessary controversy,” he said when asked about Deve Gowda becoming a Rajya Sabha member. (KS, NGB)
