Mysuru, September 21:- Mysuru District in-charge Minister V Somanna visited the Chamundi Hill on Saturday morning and inspected the surroundings for cleanliness as lakhs of devotees and tourists visit the place during Mysuru Dasara festival.
After inaugurating the high mast-lights, the minister offered special prayers to the statue of Nandi atop the hill. After instructing the officials to maintain cleanliness at the foot of the hills including the steps leading to the temple, he said that lakhs of devotees and tourists visit the hills and Mysuru should look beautiful. “It is very important to give prominence to cleanliness.”
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Shankar, BJP leader HV Rajeev and other officials accompanied the minister. (KS, NGB)
