Mysuru, October 6:- Higher Education and District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda and Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh on Friday requested the protesting pourakarmikas to change their mind and get back to work while promising to look into their problems. But their promises failed to convince the protesters.
Mahesh and Devegowda visited the protesters near Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) premises and said that they would discuss with the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy about their problems, but the agitators were unrelenting and asked the ministers to solve their problems immediately. Mahesh requested the pourakarmikas to support Dasara Festivities and said the issue has already been discussed at the cabinet meeting.
Devegowda, who was trying to pacify pourakarmikas, got enraged by the shouting and asked them to listen to him and drop the protest. But the pourakarmikas were in no mood to stop their protest. (MR/KS).
