Ministers ST Somashekar, Basavaraju inspect Devaraja Market, Town Hall, Lansdowne Building in Mysuru

Prime News, Karnataka, Mysuru, July 16:- District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar and Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraju visited Devaraja Market, Sri Rangacharlu Memorial Town Hall and Lansdowne Building here on Friday (July 16) and inspected the infrastructure.

Somashekar said, “The works pertaining to Town Hall will be completed shortly.”

Basavaraju said, “The Lansdowne Building and Devaraja Market issues will be discussed with the officials before a final decision is arrived at.”

He said, “The dilapidated Lansdowne Building was built during the days of Mysuru Maharajas and we have plans to rebuild it. We will have a detailed discussion on what should be done.”

Somashekar said, “There are complaints of water seepage in the Town Hall building. The repair work should be fool-proof.”

Reacting to Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat elections, he said, “The Cabinet has taken a decision to have it in the month of January next year.”

Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman H V Rajeev, acting Mysuru Mayor Anwar Baig, Zoo Authority of Karnataka chairman L R Mahadevaswamy, Corporator Parimala Bharath, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy, MUDA Commissioner Dr D B Natesh and MUDA Superintendent Engineer Shankar, DCP Geetha Prasanna, and others were present.
