Mysuru, February 12:- Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 15-point programme for 2020-21, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri held a meeting with officials at her office here on Thursday (February 11).
She said, “The money earmarked for SC-ST issues is being misused. The local issues should be tackled in consultation with the taluk officials. Even in Gram Panchayats, money is being used for other purposes. The concerned officials should settle the issue.”
Turning her attention to pourakarmikas, the Deputy Commissioner said, “In BM Shri Nagar, some influential people have grabbed the land kept aside for them. The officials should take suitable action. Under SCP and TSP schemes, every village will have a separate graveyard.”
Rohini Sindhuri added, “For the benefit of the children of pourakarmikas, Rs 2 lakh has been sanctioned as an encouragement fund. The concerned officials should see that the fund is utilised in the right manner. A district-level survey of pourakarmikas has started and is likely to end by this month-end. Every pourakarmika should get himself enrolled in the survey without fail.”
MLC R Dhamasena, Zilla Panchayat CEO B A Paramesh, Hunsur MLA H P Manjunath, Social Welfare Department director B Malathi and others were present. (MR/GK)
