Mysuru, April 7:- MIT Mysuru-Edin will be organising their second Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament on April 10, 11, 17 and 18 and April 25.
Talking to reporters at the Mysuru Press Club at Agrahara here on Wednesday (April 7), Edin Synergy chief Hemalatha said, “The tournament will be held at St Philomena’s College (Autonomous) Ground at Bannimantap. Colleges and educational institutions from Mysuru and Nanjangud are expected to take part in what promises to be a tough battle for supremacy. Teaching and non-teaching staff are eligible to take part in the event.”
She said, “First round of matches will be held on April 10 and the final round of matches will be held on April 18 but no spectators will be allowed. All the Covid guidelines will be in place and all the players will be checked for the virus before being allowed to pay. Players above the age of 45 are not allowed to take part in the tournament. The money that is collected from the tournament will be donated to Youth For Seva’s Vidyachethana.
Sports chief Raghav, Edin Bridge chief Prathap Hassan, Edin Synergy head Phanish M, MIT principal B G Naresh Kumar, Palace Skoda chief Sridhar and others were present. (MR/KS)
