MLA GT Devegowda hears grievances of residents in Chamundeshwari Constituency

Will remain neutral on Mysuru mayoral elections, asserts GT Devegowda

Mysuru, December 27:- MLA of Chamundeshwari Constituency GT Devegowda undertook an inspection round in his constituency on Friday and listened to the grievances of residents regarding road, UGD and drinking water.

He gathered information from the officials regarding the cleanliness of parks and drainage issues. The MLA said that the area was undertaken by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) when Bangarappa was the chief minister and said development works have been launched at 10 places.

Responding to media queries on the announcement of reservation of mayor and deputy mayor posts of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), the MLA said that the party will go as per the advice from HD Kumaraswamy and Sa Ra Mahesh.

“The party will follow the instructions given by Mahesh and Kumaraswamy. Whether I was a voter or a district in-charge minister, they never consulted me during mayoral elections. Let them hold the elections now. It is my duty to vote for the candidate chosen by the party. Whatever the high command decides, it is final. The mayoral elections come under my jurisdiction and I am also a member. The government has also issued notification for the elections,” he said and asserted that he would remain neutral in the mayoral elections. (KS, NGB)
