MLA Harshavardhan wants govt to speed up vaccination

Legislator Harshavardhan urges govt to set up oxygen plant in Mysuru soon

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Medical Oxygen, Vaccine, Mysuru, May 25:-  Nanjangud BJP MLA B Harshavarshan has asked the state government to set up an oxygen plant in Mysuru and also increase the supply of vaccines to the district.

He was speaking to reporters at Nanjangud’s mini Vidhana Soudha here on Tuesday (May 25).

He said, “The immediate need of the hour is an oxygen plant and it should be done fast. The second wave of coronavirus has hit us badly and there is the imminent threat of the third wave. This is a worrying factor.”

The MLA said, “The vaccination is going at a slow pace. By the end of this year, at least 65 percent of the population should be vaccinated. Only then, we can control the pandemic.”

Harshavardhan said, “Haradanahalli village in my constituency is corona-free. People of Haradanahalli and Huchchagani have taken strict steps. They are not allowing anyone to go out of their villages nor are they allowing anyone to enter. No wonder, they are able to control the pandemic. Other villages should also follow this system.” (MR/KS)
