MLA Nagendra visits slum

Mysuru, June 20:- MLA of Chamaraja Constituency, L Nagendra visited slums in B M Shri Nagar on Wednesday.

The residents alleged that 100 houses were constructed for them but no possession certificates have been given to them since 33 years. They said that water bill comes unscientifically and the poor slum-dwellers find it hard to pay the bill.

MLA assured them of solving their problems and getting them the possession certificates. He assured that he would speak to Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner and get the water bill issue solved. He told them that he would do his best to get them the basic amenities.

He said that the shed built at a cost of Rs 36 lakh for artistes has not been utilised and would construct a new complex.
