Mysuru, August 10:- Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra visited Mandi Mohalla and Soppinakeri localities in Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Ward 38 and listened to the grievances of the residents on Thursday.
People spoke about water issues, irregular supply of electricity, lack of street lights and UGD. Merchants alleged that ‘Tiger’ vehicle of Traffic Police sets up No Parking board whenever they wish to and it has made the public not to visit the market. People requested the MLA to restart bus service through Mission Hospital Road. Responding to the problems of the residents, Nagendra asked the officials to release water from 5 am to 8 am instead of 4 am to 6:30 am. He instructed the officials to install proper meters for the water bill. He also asked them to install motors for the bore well outside Mailaralingeshwara Temple.
Responding to electric poles being weak, he said that underground cable for electricity supply for Chamaraja and Krishnaraja Constituencies have been granted at a cost of Rs 700 crore and the work will begin in 15 days. People requested him to replace the old pipelines as drainage water enters the street. He instructed the officials to vacate shops on the footpath near Sri Talkies. He instructed the police officials to take strict action against miscreants who smoke cigarettes and ganja near Sri Talkies. He instructed the officials of KSRTC to restart the buses on Mission Hospital route to help the patients.
