MLA Ramadass acquitted in suicide attempt case

Mysuru, April 2:- A Bengaluru Special Court for public representatives has acquitted Krishnaraja Constituency Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA S A Ramadass in connection with his suicide attempt case over allegations by a woman.

One Prema Kumari had alleged that Ramadass cheated her by promising that he would marry her in 2014. Disturbed over this allegation, the MLA attempted suicide on February 11, 2014. Kuvempunagar Police had registered a complaint and transferred the case to CID for further investigation.

CID Police submitted the charge sheet to the court following which the court acquitted Ramadass from all charges. (KS, NGB)
