Mysuru, June 29:- Apurva Sneha Balaga and Jeevadhara Blood Bank organised blood donation camp at Apurva Hall at Chamundipuram Layout here on Sunday to mark Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti. MLA of Krishnaraja constituency SA Ramadass inaugurated the blood donation camp.
“Due to Covid-19 lockdown the blood banks are running short of blood. Youths are coming forward to donate blood to help those in need. They are contributing to saving lives. Blood donation keeps the donor healthy. Blood donors create a healthy society,” he said.
“Nadaprabhu Kempegowda laid the foundation for modern Bengaluru. He constructed hundreds of lakes, forts, temples during his tenure. He constructed markets. We have to implement his values and farsightedness,” said Hotel Owners’ Association president Narayana Gowda.
Social worker Raghuram Vajapayee, Girish of Jeevadhara Blood Bank, Apurva Suresh, Vikram Iyengar, Basavaraj Basappa, Cable Mahesh, Lakshmidevi and others were present. (MR/KS)
