Mysuru, August 1:- Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from KR Constituency, S A Ramadass, seems to be on a mission. He wants to ensure there are no coronavirus deaths in his constituency. On Friday (July 31), the former minister visited containment zones in Kurubarahalli, Siddartha Layout and Alanahalli in Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Ward 53 of the constituency and spoke to the coronavirus patients and primary contacts.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramadass said, “In the last eight days, no death has been reported in KR Constituency. I hope the same trend continues and my constituency becomes coronavirus-free in the near future.”
Continuing further, he said, “Alert notices have been put up in containment zones in Siddhartha Layout. Health officials, ASHA workers, pourakarmikas and health staff are doubling up as ‘corona warriors.’ They are visiting containment zones and taking people for screening. We are happy with their work. Though the Mysuru district has 3,000 positive cases, KR constituency has reported only 220 cases which is a positive sign. We are determined to ensure there are no coronavirus positive cases here.”
Ramadass said, “There should be no coronavirus deaths in our constituency and all necessary steps have been taken. By the grace of Goddess Chamundeshwari, so far, everything is fine. We also want to ensure there is a dip in positive cases. I also thank the people of the constituency for their cooperation.”
Councillor Roopashree, BJP leaders Yogeesh, Vinay, Panchajanya, Somashekar, Chinn, Arjun, Taibu, police, observers and doctors were present on the occasion. (MR/KS)
