Mysuru, July 25:- Narasimha Raja Constituency Congress MLA Tanveer Sait seems to be back in action. After he was brutally attacked at a wedding function in December last year at Bal Bhavan premises at Bannimantap here, Sait was recuperating from the injuries. As N R Constituency was witnessing a spike in coronavirus cases, Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha was overseeing works related to the pandemic. Now that he has recovered, Sait wants to be in the thick of action.
On Saturday (July 25), the Congress MLA met the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar and discussed issues related to coronavirus.
Talking to reporters after meeting DC Sankar, Sait said, “People of the constituency are worried over the increasing coronavirus cases. Some fake news on social media has also impacted people of the constituency. We will ask the right people to look into the problem. We will take all steps to help people overcome fear. Beginning today, I will be active and would like to be part of corona-related issues. I shall take over the charge from Pratap Simha as Corona Task Force chief. I am going to talk to him about this.”
Sait added, “As you know, I was away from the people due to unavoidable reasons. Now, I will work closely with them.” (MR/KS)
