Bengaluru, May 31:- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress has announced its candidates for the biennial elections to Karnataka Legislative Council to be held on June 11.
The Congress has announced sitting MLCs C M Ibrahim and K Govindaraj, Aravind Kumar S Arali of Bidar and K Harish Kumar of Dakshina Kannada as party candidates for the upcoming polls.
While the BJP has announced five candidates – S Rudregowda of Shivamogga, businessman K P Nanjundi of Bengaluru, party state general secretary N Ravi Kumar, former Member of Parliament P Tejaswini Gowda and sitting MLC Raghunath Malkapure of Bidar.
However, the Janata Dal (Secular) is yet to announce the name of their party’s candidates. –(KK)
