Mobile shop, temple burgled in Vidyaranyapuram

A mobile shop in the Vidyaranyapuram police station limits was burgled on Tuesday morning. The mobile shop is situated 300 metres away from the police station. Owner of the shop Naveen had shut the shop around 10:30 pm on Monday and when he returned on Tuesday at 8:30 am, the rolling shutter was found open. On recieving information from Naveen, Inspector Raghu of Vidyaranyapuram police station visited the spot and registered a case.

Mobile phones worth Rs 35,000 and cash of Rs 8,000 have been stolen. Finger print experts and dog squad also visited the crime spot.

THEFT AT SHANI MAHATMA TEMPLE

In another incident, Shani Mahatma temple which is located 500 metres away from Vidyaranyapuram police station, was also burgled by thieves who broke open the main door of the temple and took away the Hundi.

FIR has been registered by Vidayaranyapuram police. Inspector Ragu assured to increase police beats during night time following the complaints from the public.
