Modi is a liar and Pratap Simha is on the same path: Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, March 30:- “This Lok Sabha elections is going to be a historic event. All the states have formed ‘Mahaghatbandhan’ against the communal government at the Centre,” said former chief minister Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking at the preview meeting of the party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections at a private hotel in the city on Friday.

“Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagwat says there might not be another election if Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister again. They are trying to remove reservation. In a way, they are trying to alter the Constitution of India. Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde says they would alter the Constitution. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should be defeated. Mahaghatbandhan has been made in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. Dalits and backward communities are living in fear. Communalism is like cancer. We have made a coalition with Janata Dal (Secular) to defeat BJP in Karnataka. I will campaign in all the 28 constituencies. People are more against communalism. The number of voters has increased in Karnataka. We are ahead of BJP in the state. Saffron party is posing a threat to India. Narendra Modi is a dramatist and a liar. Pratap Simha is also walking on the same path. Without doing any work, he is posing, holding a book in his hand, saying he has done everything,” he said.

“Along with being a Hindu, one should be a human being first. BJP is trying to break the society in the name of religion and caste. Modi has done nothing. I am ready to debate it on any stage. At any cost, BJP should not come to power and Congress should win,” he added.

“In old Mysuru, JD(S) and Congress are opponents but personally,  we are good for each other. Even after losing the election against JD(S), Siddaramaiah agreed for a coalition with JD(S). Being in a coalition, we can defeat BJP. C H Vijayashankar is a good person. There are nine lakh voters in Mysuru. Leaders and party workers should let go their differences and support the coalition candidate,” said former minister Dr H C Mahadevappa.
