Mysuru, August 26:- The air connectivity between Mysuru and Bengaluru which was launched in June under Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) Scheme (regional air connectivity scheme) has been successful. More than 1,000 passengers have made use of the flight.
The branch of Air India, Alliance Air has been flying between the state capital and the heritage city since June 7. According to the statistics of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) 605 passengers from Bengaluru to Mysuru and 581 passengers from Mysuru to Bengaluru have traveled. Mysuru, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam flight has also been operational under UDAN 3 Scheme.
3,446 passengers have traveled between Chennai and Mysuru. 174 passengers flew to Vijayawada and 103 passengers to Visakhapatnam.
Meanwhile, the Airport Authority will introduce three more flights by October end this year following good response from the travelers. (KS, NGB)
