Mysuru, September 20:- “We have taken enough measures to make public to watch Dasara Torchlight Parade at Bannimantap Ground here,” said District in-charge Minister V Somanna.
He was speaking to media persons after visiting Bannimantap and verifying development works on Thursday.
“The parade ground has 30 acres and has a seating capacity of 22,000. It is now extended to 32,000 seats. More people will get to witness the event. Development works have been taken up by Mysuru Urban Development Authority at a cost of Rs 6.45 crore. Development works are getting completed and it will be completed before Dasara begins,” he said.
“Air Show will be held on October 2. It will be made more attractive than the previous year,” he added.
He also inspected seating arrangements at Jamboo Savari route.
Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, DCP M Muthuraj, MUDA Commissioner PS Kantharaju and others were present. (MR/KS)
