Mysuru, March 30:- Mysuru City Police have registered a complaint against the staff of More Supermarket in the city for denying entry to students from the Northeast.
The students from NE had gone to More Supermarket at Chamundipuram Circle on Saturday morning to buy essentials. But the staff refused to let them in, saying they are foreigners. The students condemned the behaviour of the staff.
The students told the staff that they are Indians and said they have an Aadhaar card and asked why they are being discriminated. They requested the stores to allow them to buy essentials.
The incident was captured on a cell phone and went viral on social media. Commissioner of Police Dr Chandragupta who observed the incident on social media immediately asked KR Police to register an FIR against the staff of the supermarket.
Dr Chandragupta took to twitter to request the shop owners to not discriminate the public. (MR/KS)
