More than 100 injured at National Kabaddi Championship after stand collapses

Sports News, National, Hyderabad, March 23:-National Kabaddi Championships in Telangana’s Suryapet became a place of accident when a stand collapsed on Monday, leaving over a 100 people injured.

A large crowd had gathered at the SP Office grounds for the inaugural ceremony of the 47th National Kabaddi tournament but suddenly a stand came down and people fell down in a wave-like motion.

The injured people were rushed to a hospital and two of them were critical and were taken to Hyderabad.

The Championship is supposed to go on till March 25 in Suryapet at the grounds with a total capacity of 15000. More than 1500 participants from 29 states are participating in the event with Sikkim also part of a national-level event for the first time.
