MP Simha asks BSNL to restore facility in Kodagu District

Mysuru, September 11:- Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha member Pratap Simha has instructed the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide required connectivity to the flood-affected Kodagu District immediately.

He was speaking at a meeting of the Advisory Committee of BSNL at Telecom Training Centre at T K Layout on Tuesday.

“People of Kodagu are facing connectivity problems due to recent floods. Most of the villages of the district do not have mobile connectivity. Several complaints have been received in this regard.  Private companies are giving better service in Kodagu. But BSNL has failed miserably,” he said.

“People are not using BSNL service in urban areas because of better services by private networks. BSNL can at least help the villages in Kodagu that are close to the forest cover by installing mobile towers,” he said.

Member of Parliament R Dhruvanarayan, chief executive of BSNL K L Jayaram and others were present. (MR/KS).
