Member of Parliament, Pratap Simha, along with National Highway Authority (NHA) officials inspected the National Highway-212 following a series of accidents and deaths on the road.
On Tuesday morning, Pratap Simha along with Assistant executive engineer of NHA Krishnamurthy and PWD officers visited and inspected NH-212 and road junctions near Gowrishankarnagar.
Speaking to media persons, he said “From past few days over seven people have lost their lives in at this spot. The Central government is spending nearly Rs 40 crores for road widening and designing across the country. The NHA must immediately construct road humps or speed breakers to avoid accidents in future.”
Eesidents of the area, demanded for a service road, for which the Lol Sabha member promised to hold a discussion with the Public Works Department (PWD) Minister and bring the issue to his notice.
BJP leader H V Rajeev, hotelier Rajendra and others were present.
