MP Simha meets Union Railway Minister; Seeks additional trains, facilities in SWR

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha who met Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in Delhi on Wednesday, handed over a letter to the minister seeking more amenities and facilities to rail commuters in the South Western Railway division.

Pratap Simha has sought introduction of another train especially between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm everyday as the Chamundi Express train travelling between Mysuru-Bangaluru in the morning and evening was crowded and travelling in this train had become difficult for the rail users.

The MP has also urged the minister to introduce an additional train between 4 pm and 6 pm daily from Mysuru to Bangaluru for the benefit of the commuters. In addition, he has appealed to the Union railway minister to provide train halt station at Metagalli between Mysuru Junction and Ashokapuram Railway Station on Mysuru/Arsikere/ BG Section to decongest Mysuru Railway Station as there are many residential areas at Metagalli.
