MUDA chief Rajeev hints at forming Vigilant Squad

Mysuru, November 12:- Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), along with the landowners, will be forming a Vigilant Squad in the days to come. Giving a detailed report of the meeting held on November 6, MUDA chairman H V Rajeev on Thursday (November 12) said, “After reaching an agreement with the landowners, projects will be completed within 18 months.”

Rajeev said, “Once the landowners sign an agreement, they will be paid an advance amount of Rs 10 lakh. Under Karnataka Urban Development Board, on a 50-50 agreement, the landowners will be compensated duly with a site. For every acre, nine sites measuring 30×40 will be given. Of the developed land, a site worth Rs 10 lakh may be given to MUDA. If there are more landowners pertaining to particular land, they will be given joint ownership. Landowners will not be given corner sites or commercial sites. The landowners have all the rights to sell the sites allotted to them. Sites measuring 50×80, 40×60 and 30×40 will be given and 20×30 sites.
