Mumbai business magnet bought flat for 125 crore; becomes Ambani’s neighbour

Prime News, National, Mumbai, July 1:- Deven Mehta, a Mumbai-based businessman, has purchased two floors of a luxury residential tower at Altamount Road in Mumbai for 125 crores, became Ambani’s neighbour.

Mehta chairman and managing director of Smart Card IT solution Limited bought the flat on the 30th and 31st floors of Lodha Altamount and registered the property. The deal was confirmed by Prabhadevi property registration office officials.

The building owned by the American Consulate, formerly known as Washington House, will have 40 storeys almost opposite to Mukesh Ambani’s tower, Antilla. The proper developed by Lodha group Real estate consultants, the asking rate per floor going at 75 to 80 crore.

This building in Mumbai is first to have complete glass facade. The building has eight floors for parking, two swimming pools, an observation deck, concierge service, in-house chef, spa, a banquet room, health club and library.

The building yet to occupy and almost ready, the other buyers so far, are Shrikrishan Jindal and Ajay Jindal, the promoters of Jindal Drugs valued at 225 crore, the Jain family of Bhilasiya Textiles group for a similar price for three floors, ), Deven Doshi, MD of Echjay Industries Ltd (one floor), Dinesh Kanabar, CEO of Dhruva Advisors & former CEO of KPMG each one floor.

Billionaire’s Avenue as the Altamount road called occupied by high net worth residents were Kumar Mangalam Birla, Narotam Sekhseria, and Radhakishan Damani.

The new resident going to join at Altamount is Yes Bank managing director Rana Kapoor who has bought a plot to build a bungalow.
