Mysorean Bharath Devarajappa wins “Leaders Award 2016”

We quite often hear of people going in search of greener pastures, doing well for themselves, and their proud relatives talking inexorably about their achievements. In contrast to this scenario we have Bharath Devarajappa, who left his fat pay cheque and high flying position as the Marketing Manager at Samsung Electronics for Gulf region, to return to serve his roots.

Bharath joined his family business, Green Lifescience Technologies, which is predominantly serving farmers through bridging the gaps of inputs, information and credit. They have conducted more than 200 farmer training programmes in India in the past 10 years. Greenlife also runs a free disease diagnostic laboratory for farmers. Bharath recently received the “Most Admired Social Enterprise for Agriculture in Karnataka of the year” Award. The award ceremony was held at Mumbai’s ITC Grand Central Hotel with Padma Shri Madhur Bhandarkar, Bollywood Director and Shaina N C, spokesperson of BJP, as guests of honour.

Bharath Devarajappa also runs Apollo Diagnostic Centre in Mysuru through which he is catering to the field of human health. His Phoenix Academy is reaching out to students, empowering them to succeed in their careers by preparing them for the corporate world. He is an active member of Young Indians of Confederation of Indian Industries where he has spear-headed many projects such as Organ Donation Campaign and Environment Protection Campaign.
