Mysura Uthsava; Bharatanatya performance in Mysuru

Mysura Uthsava, a classical dance event was held at Jaganmohan Palace, recently. The programme was organised by Sri Nimishamba dance promoters.

Vidushi Dr Vasundhara Doreswamy of Vasundhara Centre for Performing Arts was honoured with Mysuru Rathna award on this occasion.
Sri Nimishamba dance school students performed Bharatanatya, followed by ‘Natya Sudha’, Bharatanatya performance by Parshwanatha Upadhye and budding Bharatanatya artists from Bengaluru.

Students from six dance schools performed ‘Navarasa’ Nrithya roopaka. 75 selected students from the dance schools took part in the roopaka.

MLA Vasu, Vipul Kumar, Director of Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru, Mallikarjunaswamy, joint director of Kannada and culture department, Bengaluru, Hanur Chennappa, writer and associate director of Kannada and culture department, Srinath Rangaswamy from Chennai were present.
