A Mysuru-based man, who tweeted the marriage card of his sister’s with Swachh Bharat logo on it, has left Prime Minister Narendra Modi highly impressed.
This is a story of how a marriage invitation card has gained the attention of Prime Minister of India.
Akash Jain, an entrepreneur, took to micro-blogging platform Twitter and tweeted a photo of a marriage card with Swachh Bharat logo printed on it and wrote, “Dear @narendramodi, My dad specifically wanted @swachhbharat logo to be there on my sister’s wedding invitation, hence got it. @PMOIndia”. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the post.
On Sunday evening, the post gained the attention of Narendra Modi who re-tweeted his post and appreciated his initiative.
Modi didn’t just re-tweet but also followed Akash on Twitter. This is not the first time when common people have done their bit in promoting the Swachh Bharat campaign. In the past, M Mariswami, a resident of Hubballi, took the Swachh Bharat campaign a little further by printing his wedding card with a 4-page text on the importance of constructing toilets in house.
