Mysureans asked to support ‘Janta curfew’ on Sunday

Mysuru, March 20:- Prajnavantha Nagarika Vedike of the city on Friday organised an awareness event on coronavirus. It also appealed to people to observe ‘Janta curfew’ proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 22 to stay indoors to avoid the spreading of the virus.

The organisation members visited houses at Chamundipuram, Vidyaranyapuram and distributed pamphlets on Janta curfew.

“Modi has urged all the Indians to observe Janta curfew and not come out of homes on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm. It is our responsibility to stay healthy and protect the nation. Coronavirus is scarier than World War I and II. Already, a task force has been formed to tackle the financial condition. But the first prominence should be given to the public health,” said corporator MV Ramaprasad.
