53 new Covid-19 confirmed cases in Mysuru; tally at 50,848

Death toll in Mysuru district rises to 1,001

Mysuru, December 4:- Mysuru district on Thursday (December 3) reported 53 new Covid-19 confirmed cases and 89 recoveries to take its tally of cumulative positive cases to 50,848 and 49,567 respectively, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.

Active positive cases count stands at 280 as of December 3, the district has reported one death on Thursday, and the tally of fatalities has risen to 1001.

For the last two days, except Bengaluru Urban, no district in the state has reported triple digit positive cases, on December 3, out of 30 districts only seven has reported deaths. Six from Bengaluru Urban followed by Dakshina Kannada – two, Bengaluru Rural, Dharwad, Hassan, Kolar and Mysuru – one each.

Among the districts where the new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 758, followed by Mandya (75), Tumakuru (68), Mysuru (53), Chitradurga (40) and Belagavi (38) among others.

Most of the dead were either with a history of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) or Influenza-like illness (ILI) as per the state’s health bulletin.

Also 19 deaths reported in the state that attributed to non-Covid reasons. Till December 3, the district has tested 4,93,104 Samples. (NAV)
