Mysuru, November 20:- “Mysuru bandh will be observed on November 22 to condemn the statement of former MLC Go Madhusudan and against the inactive state government, district administration and police department,” said Jnanaprakasha seer of Urilinga Peddimutt at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Monday .
“The state government has completely shunned the protests taken out by the organisations of progressive thinkers, lawyers and others. Students, researchers, advocates, writers, PFI, SDPI and other organisations will take part in the protest,” he added.
“The protest march will be taken out from Ashoka Circle in Ashokapuram and will culminate at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here. A memorandum will be submitted to the DC. Members of Ambedkar Sene, Bhimashankar have filed an FIR against Go Madhusudan at Devadurga Police Station. Schools, colleges and transport services will remain suspended during the bandh,” he added.
Dalits’ Welfare Trust president Shantharaju, Nagalinga seer of Chaluvadhi Mutt in Chitradurga, Samvidhana Samrakshana Horata Samithi convener Bhaskar, NS TPI vice president Puttananjaiah, Sneha Souharda Sangha, Siddarthanagar president R Siddabasavaiah and others were present.
