Mysuru BJP demands CBI probe into WB violence

Mysuru: In view of the post-election violence which left scores dead in West Bengal, state BJP spokesman M G Mahesh on Wednesday demanded Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the whole episode.  The BJP leaders were protesting against the alleged violence against their workers in West Bengal.

City BJP leader T S Srivatsa said, “The whole country is watching the violence unleashed by the TMC members. Around nine BJP workers were killed in West Bengal and many BJP offices were set on fire.”

Mahesh said, “The whole country is suffering because of the pandemic situation. What TMC workers are doing in West Bengal is shameful. After having won the elections, they are taking the law into their hands. The whole country has to bow its head in shame for what is happening in West Bengal.  TMC workers are looking for BJP volunteers to kill them. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has to stop politics of vengeance. We demand President’s rule in West Bengal so that there is some semblance of discipline.  We want the Supreme Court to intervene in the matter and order CBI probe into the violence.”

BJP’s rural  unit president Mangala Somashekar, State Yuva Morcha vice president Jayashankar, city BJP spokesman Mohan, general secretaries Vani Sukumar, Giridhar Somasundar, Jogi Manju, Jayaram Pradeep Kumar, Cable Mahesh, Mysuru BJP rural general secretaries Devanuru Prathap, Chamundeshwari constituency’s president Gejjahalli Mahesh,  media convener Mahesh Raje Urs and others were present.
