Mysuru–B’luru track doubling work to finish by month end

The railway track doubling work between Mysuru and Bengaluru has reached the final stage.

The track work was incomplete near the Tipu’s armoury for about 1.5 km. The track work has almost been completed near the armoury and will be completed by the end of April.

The armoury has been shifted to a new place and the railway tracks have been laid. Platforms are being constructed and the railway officials say that the work won’t take much time to finish.

The officials of railway safety department will inspect the tracks and submit the report to the railway department. The train movement will begin only after the officials give the green signal.

The Tipu armoury was moved 130 metres from its original place. New pillars have been provided to the armoury with the help of beams and the curing takes place for another one month. After the curing process, the armoury will be available for the public to visit. –NGB
