Mysuru’s Covid-19 tally spikes to 48,541 with 148 new cases

Mysuru, November 7:- After a brief respite to the residents and the district administration, a big surge in Covid-19 cases in Mysuru district has been reported for the last four days. As many as 562 new cases were registered and is bound to cross the 50,000 mark.

On Friday (November 6), Mysuru district reported 148 new positive cases taking its tally of cumulative positive cases to 48,541.

As many as 215 patients have been discharged from various hospitals – government, private and Covid Care Centres, thus taking the recovered patients tally to 46,444 so far.

Of the 48,541 positive cases, 1127 are active in the district. The district also recorded two deaths on Friday and the tally of fatalities till Friday has risen to 970. Mysuru district is next only to Bengaluru Urban district to have registered more coronavirus cases and fatalities in the state.

Dakshina Kannada reported 30,474 cases and 686 deaths, Ballari – 37,565 cases and 549 deaths, Hassan – 25,708 positive cases and 377 fatalities, Dharwad – 20,956 cases and 574 deaths, Shivamogga and Tumakuru – 20,923, 21,499 cases and 347 and 346 fatalities respectively. (NAV)
