Mysuru Covid-19 tally spikes to 51,215 with 71 new infections

Mysuru, December 10:- Mysuru district’s Covid-19 cases tally reached 51,215 with 71 new infections on Wednesday (December 9) and 73 patients were discharged from the hospitals taking the total recovered patients tally in the district to 49,882.

The district’s tally of positive coronavirus cases, recoveries and fatalities is the second highest in the state after Bengaluru Urban which has  3,75,891 cases, 3,54,004 recoveries and 4210 fatalities.

Of the 51,215 cumulative positive cases in Mysuru district, 330 are active and in isolation and stable. The district also registered one death linked to Covid infection and the total number of fatalities has reached 1003.

Out of 20 deaths which were recorded in Karnataka on Wednesday, Bengaluru Urban reported 13, Dakshina Kannada – two, Bengaluru Rural, Dharwada, Kalaburagi, Mysuru and Tumakuru shares – one each.

The other districts which reported new coronavirus infections were 41 from Chitradurga followed by Mandya – 40, Dakshina Kannada and Chikkaballapura – 34 each, Shivamogga, Tumakuru – 33 each and Hassan – 31, the rest shared by other districts in the state. (NAV)
