Mysuru District has 24,65,102 voters: DC Sankar

Voters' Facility Centre will be opened soon as directed by ECI, says DC

Mysuru, January 17:- “A special revision of voters’ list has been undertaken by the Mysuru District Administration officials,” said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.

He was addressing a press meet at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises here on Thursday.

“Mysuru District has 24,65,102 voters, out of which 12,34,454 are men and 12,30,648 women. There is still time for a person aged 18 and above to enroll for the voters’ list. Epic cards will also be available soon. As the number of voters is more, booths will also be increased. There are 2,921 polling booths this time. There were 2,687 booths during the last polls. 234 additional booths have been added. Voters’ Facility Centre will begin soon as directed by the Election Commission of India. This centre will function from 9 am to 9 pm. Booth level agents from all the parties will be allotted deputed at all the booths,” he added. (KS, NGB)
